To manufacture this featured Polycast roll shell for the papermaking industry, Sandusky International used our superior centrifugal casting process. Once the Polycast roll shell was cast in ASTM A27 Grade N-1, it was heat treated, cleaned and then cut to the specified length.
The supplied casting measured 20.25 inches on the outside diameter and 18.50 inches on the inside diameter, and weighed 4,039 pounds. After final inspection we determined the Polycast had met all specifications, and we delivered it to our papermaking OEM client in Quebec, Canada.
